UAE is a country consisting of 7 emirates or in other words 7 states, each emirate of which is a full monarchy. They are:

Climate
The climate of this country is very dry, tropical and desert. Here very often happen sound storms. The temperature in summer gets to 35-40 ˚C, and in winter՝ 20-23˚C. The precipitations are few and irregular. Each year from November to May the precipitations quantity form 100mm.
Geography
UAE is located in the north-eastern part of Arabian Peninsula and is being washed by Persian Gulf. In the south-west it borders with Saudian Arabia and in the east- Oman. The largest emirate is Abu Dhabi which occupies 85% of the UAE territory and the smallest one is Ajman with the territory of 250 km².
The geographical privilege of UAE is that the most part of its territory is occupied with a desert Rub El Hal. There are many salt mines in the coastal areas. The mountainous relief is typical with the northern and eastern parts of the country. The representatives of animal types are camels, Arabian panthers and wild mountainous goats.
Population
The population of UAE is 4,5 million, only 1/3 of which are Arabians and the inhabitants- 11%. The rest are immigrants from Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, Sri-Lanka and from other countries of southern Asia, who moved to UAE as temporary workers. Arabian immigrants are generally citizens of Palestine.
The 88% of population is in the cities. The largest and developing city is Dubai with a population of 1,5 million. The other large cities are Abu Dhabi, Al Ayin, Fujairah and Sharjah.
Culture
UAE is a muslim country. Here is not acceptable to walk drunk in the street (otherwise they can be taken to prison) or wear impressive (this refers especially to women). But in the result of the rise of tourists the traditions are coming up to European standards.
During the last times the inhabitants used to pay more attention to the education that’s why in UAE are created many international educational establishments, founded many scientific-technical centers of leading technical companies of the world.
Religion
Almost all the inhabitants of UAE are muslim, 85% of which are sunnis and 15% are shias. According to the UAE immigrant bureau the 55% of the immigrants are also muslim, 25% hinduists, 10% Christians and 5% Buddhists. From 4,5 million population of the country Muslims form 3 /4.
Dubai is the only emirate where there is a Hinduism temple. But churches are in each emirate.

The muslim New Year and St. month Ramadan in 2013 took place in July 10 and lasted 1 month; in 2014 it will take place in June 28.
Ramadan according to muslim calendar is the 9th month, and it is the time when the Koran had been given.
Transportation
Nowadays the basic transport means is the car. The most part of the roads are laid with asphalt. In the country there are large international airports, ports and oil-refining, the underground of Dubai is being built.
